So the possible problems with the TACT up sampling got me to thinking
about an up sampler I use (Assemblage D2D-2), and as I posted on the
Humble pie thread, I was happy not to see any apparent issues with it's
upsampled square wave.

So onto another toy, this time an Esoteric DV50 universal player. This
beast has two different upsamplers built in, which you can select from
the front panel. The first, a FIR filter, creates the usual square
wave, with a normal looking harmonic structure, but the second, the
RDOT filter, creates something different! It's apparently adding a lot
of harmonic information, as evidenced by the mostly flat top.

I wasn't expecting this!
