Don't forget the famous case of sleepysurf (a poster on this forum a year back or so). He swore up and down that wired sounded better than wireless - the sound had better definition, a veil was lifted, etc.
Then one day he had his wife switch back and forth, and he identified correctly 4/10 times or something - even though during the test he was convinced he was hearing the difference. It's certainly not -impossible- that the operation of the wireless card could affect the SB's DAC and/or jitter spectrum, either adversely or otherwise.
