Phil,

I did a similar test between a Transporter and SB3 with my TacT a year
ago and have a couple of suggestions.

1) Plug the SB3 stock power supply into a switchable power strip and
switch it off when listening to the second SB3. There's a good chance
that the SMPS is feeding RF back into the AC circuit and contaminating
the power to the other components.

2) Try toslink instead of coax between the SB3s and TacT, or,
alternatively, disconnect the coax from the SB3 you aren't auditioning.
With both SB3s connected to the TacT via conductive cables, there could
be a cross-feed of electrical noise from one SB3 to the other.
