Jeanchris - we all agree that the process is "bit-perfect" as you
describe.

However there is a THEORY that the cpu inside the SB may work harder
decoding flac vs wav and that extra work may generate more
noise/interference/something that affects the DAC and/or digital output
- maybe jitter?. It is just a theory and is NOT proven by anyone.

I can't hear any difference myself.
