If you spend any kind of serious money on audio you are kidding yourself if looks doesn't matter. It also depends where your system is (living room vs say your "Home Office"). I have some other ugly setups too where I don't care what it looks like and I have the SB3 hooked up. As far as sound they both sound the same on a decent DAC and this board spends way to much energy on debating it.
