I can certainly believe that on some SACD's that the mix is different.
I don't think it's on purpose. They just took the "orginal CD" and put
it on there and do a new mix from masters for SACD.

My collection is not that large.

Same goes for Blu-Ray.

Even if the resampled 24/88.2 down to 16/44.1 sounded better I would
not bother. Space is cheap. Actually I could do that test instantly in
the PS3 and just tell the PS3 to limit the HDMI PCM to 44.1 and it
would do SACD to 44.1.
