That's certainly an option I'm considering.  It's a little harder than
that though as I would need to borrow a suitable amplifier too.  If I
order the dynaudios I think I would give them a fair chance in my room,
and only if I'm not satisfied see if I can take them to a dealer or
borrow some speakers and an amp from a dealer.

I did listen to some PMC GB1's a couple of years ago in comparison to
some similarly priced spendors and also some pro-ac speakers.  I really
liked both the PMC and pro-ac speakers at the time but decided to
upgrade my source instead.   If I could find a local dealer with either
of those in stock I would be seriously tempted to up my budget and go
for them, but I'm struggling a little as I'm now located in the US.
