Your not nuts. Your ears are again hearing the music the way they did
when they were in really good working order, and its just your brain
giving you that memory again in the present! ;} Just kidding, but most
of us still like the sound we grow up listening to. Just like when you
perk up when you hear that old song you loved from the past on the
radio. I guess that is part of the reason I use a tube pre-amp. I grew
up with Heath, AR, and CJ.

Since its cold here and not much to do outside, my son and I went in
the attic last Sunday to see if anything needed to be cleared out. He
found some of my stored audio gear. I had forgotten I had a CJ PV7 and
two Eagle Mono Blocks up there (and no its not a pull down stairs
attic, its walk in storage with HVAC, no windows so it can't be used as
living space). My son asked me what they did and I told him that they
make great music. After I check them out, I might have to show him this
weekend. Bit worried about the filter caps on the Eagles. My friend Carl
tripped over and pulled one of the power cords out of the wall back in
the day. We didn't notice until about 7 minutes later when one of the
channels went away. Boy do these Eagles have some filter storage!
