SJobson, Thanks for the info. I have a Sony MZ-R50, it has an optical in with a strange connector, I found the cable that came with it and it is toslink on the output end. The line out is a single mini output so I can use a mini to rca cable and hook it up to my receiver, hard to imagine it would be as good or better than the SB3 but I will give it a try.
