I know I'm a skeptic in general but I'm not against this type of tweaking. What I'm against is the profiteering from companies selling these kind of supports at incredibly inflated prices. I believe you can tweak away and achieve the same physical effect (whether there's an audible effect is another matter as discussed) for very little money. Blu-tack has already been mentioned, but I've played with squash balls, inexpensive spikes, bubble wrap, inner tubes, slate tiles and a combination thereof for my equipment. Simple spikes on coins seem (caveat: not blind tested) to be pretty effective and cheap. For the SB3 it sits perched on an inner tube.
My voodoo may be voodoo but it's cheap and harmless voodoo - a bit of fun. I would never buy an expensive support without looking into it with some blind testing. That would be very tricky for this type of thing so will probably never happen. :) Darren -- darrenyeats SB3 / Inguz -> Krell KAV-300i (pre bypass) -> PMC AB-1 Dell laptop -> JVC UX-C30 mini system ------------------------------------------------------------------------ darrenyeats's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=10799 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=59052 _______________________________________________ audiophiles mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/audiophiles
