I know I'm a skeptic in general but I'm not against this type of
tweaking. What I'm against is the profiteering from companies selling
these kind of supports at incredibly inflated prices. I believe you can
tweak away and achieve the same physical effect (whether there's an
audible effect is another matter as discussed) for very little money.
Blu-tack has already been mentioned, but I've played with squash balls,
inexpensive spikes, bubble wrap, inner tubes, slate tiles and a
combination thereof for my equipment. Simple spikes on coins seem
(caveat: not blind tested) to be pretty effective and cheap. For the
SB3 it sits perched on an inner tube.

My voodoo may be voodoo but it's cheap and harmless voodoo - a bit of
fun. I would never buy an expensive support without looking into it
with some blind testing. That would be very tricky for this type of
thing so will probably never happen. :)
