I did say that there are small exceptions and its up to what the
listener likes in the end. Because after all, it is what sounds "Good"
to the listener that matters.

The point was that spikes are for coupling, not decoupling, no matter
how ones listening pleasure ends up using them in the end. The spikes
are for keeping the speaker from moving on carpet or any other flooring
because of Newton's Law. That's what I was saying.
