I just upgraded my previous SC version to the new 7.4 beta, which also triggered a firmware update to my SB3. To my great surprise, it seems like sound quality has noticeably improved. This is with .wav streaming only (I always rip with EAC using no compression at all).
What I do not understand, is how this is even possible. Am I really must imagining all this? The sound quality seems absolutely better to me (better decays, more realistic midrange, nicer bass, better sense of space and staging), and I was definitely NOT expecting any sound quality change. Anyone else notice such a change with 7.4 beta?
