Hi there! The SOX code is not in the firmware, it's on the server and is only invoked for bitrates higher than can be handled natively. So, if you play a normal 44.1/16 FLAC, WAV or MP3 it won't go via SOX. A 96/24 would go via SOX. I'm running on 7.4 nightly and it sounds fine to me (I only use FLAC). Only Sean could comment on whether there have been any firmware changes that might have altered replay sound quality.
