Hey Pat,

Thanks for your input - I am clear on the diff between compression
types #1 and #2. I just didn't state my thought clearly.

I was talking about case #2 in my post, and I don't think FM stations
do that for their streaming digital broadcasts. Or some may but not the
ones I listen to.

Goes back to my original comment in this thread - yes, streaming FM is
lower rez than Redbook CD (comp #1). Yet sometimes I hear better music
coming off FM than from a CD of the same material, possibly because the
CD is suffering from comp #2.
