18Khz doesn't really work for a 24/96 ADC...

Dave,

It will change it consistently.
The fact is that if it got on to the CD in the first place I can record
it with my ADC. Period. To argue otherwise just doesn't make sense. What
aberration in my ADC can prevent it from recording some nuance in the
source material that is Nyquist limited. We are talking about stuff
already limited to 16/44.1 and filtered accordingly.

The horse has already bolted...and Shannon was riding it.

I kind of feel you don't want to open Pandora's box. Would it really
hurt that much to discover that expensive spdif cables - just to pick
some low hanging fruit - really make no difference?

I'm not on a religous crusade here.

You want to see the signal path BEFORE it gets onto a CD/vinyl...it
ain't what you'd call minimal...
SB3 (wired) - TACT 2.2X (Linear PSU) + Good Vibrations S/W - MF
Triplethreat(Audiocom full mods) - Linn 5103 - Aktiv 5.1 system (6x
LK140's, ESPEK/TRIKAN/KATAN/SEIZMIK 10.5), Townsend Supertweeters, Blue
Jeans Digital,Kimber Speaker & Chord Interconnect cables
Outdoors: Boom
