The point about slaving the Transport(er) clock to the DAC, is not to improve the clock at the transport, but to least effect the clock at the DAC. And it's the clock at the DAC that's important, because you don't want to introduce any timing distortion when you convert between digital and analogue levels. -- Patrick Dixon www.at-tunes.co.uk ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Patrick Dixon's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=90 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=60838 _______________________________________________ audiophiles mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/audiophiles
