Don't get me wrong, I'm withholding final judgment until I have a chance to do an honest blind A/B test. Just sharing my impressions thus far and trying to let what I want to hear bias me unduly. I'm glad you are enjoying the device and I'm jealous that my experiences with it were not as revelatory. Odds are, even if I don't keep the Transporter now, I will buy it in a year or two when I've got some more change saved up. I like how it looks, I like the fact that it gets a better wi-fi signal, and I like knowing that I have a source of the highest audio echelon, as you and others have suggested by your comparisons.
