It's to do with reflections along the tranmission line - there's a well-known article on the Internet about this that has been referenced many times on this forum. 1.5m is the minimum length required to avoid these reflections. -- Phil Leigh You want to see the signal path BEFORE it gets onto a CD/vinyl...it ain't what you'd call minimal...
