If it is possible, connect the PC with SqueezeCenter + your music to
your router with cat5 cable.

Performance of wireless and homeplug depends a lot on the environment.
As everyone knows about wireless connection issues, it does not need
further explanation. As for homeplug, in Europe most houses have
different electric 'groups' coming from the fusebox. Traversing the
fusebox, from one group to another group, can be problematic for
Homeplugs. Homeplug 2 (200Mps) is supposed to be a lot better at that
than Homeplug 1 (85Mbps). Other electric equipment with electric motors
(fans, fridges, etc) may also emit electric 'noise' causing the homeplug
kit to perform poorly. In both cases, wireless and homeplug, it's a
matter of trying it out and seeing how it works for you.

Wired or wireless has no influence on what is transmitted, so has no
influence on the quality.

Cat5 offers best consistency. Any other solution is a substitute.
