Sometimes it's only the connections of the main transformers windings that differs. Contact creek and rega about it. It is not unusual to use two 115v windings that could work either in parallel or series depending on market, not so often in large power amps but not unusual in pre amps cds or tape decks etc and smaller amps.
As Apesbrain said this could be connected to a switch on the backside. But sometimes you need to open the amp and possible have a circuit diagram. Sometimes you can change the internal transformer itself (and keep the old ones if you move back ) . Small signal, stuff like CD's and preamps can fed trough 110/230 transformers . But I would no do that for a power amp , the needed transformer will be expensive and bulky ( and uggly ). If you are really lucky you can have switch mode PSU's meaning that you only have to change the cables. My DVD and preamp have 100-240V 50-60Hz PSU's. -- Mnyb -------------------------------------------------------------------- No it can NOT be controlled with iTunes.... ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Mnyb's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=4143 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=70001 _______________________________________________ audiophiles mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/audiophiles
