Marco, I think you understand it all now :-) My soundcard has both analogue and spdif inputs and they can both be used at the same time. So I can connect the analogue AND spdif outputs of the SB to the card. I then set the card to take its clock from the spdif - but to record the sound ONLY from the analogue. This way, everything is locked perfectly together in time and ADM works perfectly. This is the ONLY test setup that proves there is NO difference between wav and flac, because you cannot get a null / white noise difference result any other way. And Nulls like that cannot happen by chance. This is why I am happy to state with absolute certainty there is no difference between wav and flac playback. I sure can't hear any difference either!
