What industry standard? In the professional recording space, its common to have a master clock driving all of your separate ADC systems, since the cost effective ADC typically have only 8 channels, and even a modest setup will need 16 channels. Some sessions need a lot more channels, so a common master clock is used to keep all of the ADCs in step > If so, what is the purpose of the Word Clock input on the Transporter ? So that if you have a source feeding the Transporter, you can tell the TP what clock to use. The name is a strong hint, its a word clock input. Just guessing, but I bet that @Elberoth thinks that jitter is a real problem as well. _______________________________________________ audiophiles mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/audiophiles
