It's conceivable. Sometimes Transporter's (intentional) 2.4GHz emissions can be picked up on the RCA cables, and sometimes amplifiers will demodulate these into the audible band. If this is happening you will usually hear a pretty obvious repetitive clicking sound, with the rate of clicks being higher when you play higher bit-rate tracks. It can be fixed by attaching small value (eg 10pF) caps across the inputs to the amplifier.
Ethernet has practically no RF output by comparison is always safer for this reason, although the notion that the data stream is different in any way is nonsense. It's all buffered and error corrected, and it can easily be shown to be digitally correct in either case. -- seanadams ------------------------------------------------------------------------ seanadams's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=3 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=74721 _______________________________________________ audiophiles mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/audiophiles
