I use mp3tag, very good software.

But it is some hands on work anyway, for example all Lord Of the Rings
soundtracks is on a single DVDA instead of 4 CD's so it's 31 tracks with
long and tedious names to write or cut and paste from some website.

This is not widely announced but all 3 special edition boxes of the
complete lotr soundtracks have a DVDA with 24 bit versions of the
soundtrack.
I,m not home now can not recall if they are 48k or 96k .

The first box was marketed with this, but all 3 boxes have a dvda.

This sunday I did my own genre "24 bit" a quick and dirty fix to make
it easier to find my 24 bit files ( I have a whole bunch of downloads
too )

sbs can sort ";" separated genres, if you alter a setting, so you can
have multiple genres on a track example "jazz;24 bit"
This will sort under both "jazz" and "24 bit"

More advanced user employ Erlands suite of plugins, to make even better
things.

Not so pleased when I found out that some of BW-music club 24b files
are fakes
There is a document in the download that spells rigth out that the
files are made from 44.1k 16b to 24b 48k with "pro-tools tweak head"

So buyers beware, re 24 bit recordings, I suspect that less than <50%
or worth the effort to master as 24b many discs simply sound better due
the use of a much better master, so they are good anyway.

The same way as the AAD DAD and DDD monikers on CD's did not tell a
thing about the final sound, the production shines trough what ever
format you deliver on.

I suspect that SACD suffered more of this than DVD-A .

Because SACD finally got a lot more content than DVD-A before both
formats died, but the amount of true Hi-Rez recordings in existence is
the same.

So what to do if you want more content to make a format popular ?
SACD was Sony's scam to replace the CD (better copy protection) so they
naturally wanted everything to end up SACD regardless of pedigree .

That said I appreciate any hints on where to get more good music in 24
bit :)
There is some good stuff out there lets find that instead.
