Hi All, Wondering if anyone has been able to mod the TP for use with battery power, รก la Red Wine Audio?
I'm setting up in Australia, a 240v country, having sold off everything except my Red Wine amp and TP - the only 240v gear I owned besides the speakers which were to large to ship. Now I'm speaker hunting and found a beautiful set of 6" FE Fostex driven horns in the $5k range (hand made in Oz). Given the layout of my new apartment it would be nice to be able to but my TP on a wheeled rack that I can slide up to the couch and only concern myself with the speaker cables (very thin with this quick setup). The wheeled cart is curved and thick clear acrylic made for up to a 65lb amp/pre and the TP looks very nice on it. Battery power would be nice so I don't have to unplug/plug when I move it from one side of the couch to the other. AND I now truly appreciate Vinny's low noise associated with his gear. AND there seems to be a heck of a lot of room vacant in the TP. -- kphinney -I like it, you may not.
