I'd second that. A few years back I auditioned the Transporter on a 30
day trial. While it was easily better than the analog outs of my SB3,
when I used the latter with an external DAC (Lavry DA-10) I found I
couldn't reliably tell the difference. I ended up returning the
Transporter.

Fast forwarding to this Spring, I bought a Touch. I level matched the
Touch's analog outs to the SB3/Lavry, synced, and then compared them
for several days.

I ended up in the same spot as before - I found that I couldn't
reliably tell which was playing unless I got up to look at the input
selector switch's position. I ended up selling the Lavry.

I certainly have no problem with others reaching a different
conclusion, but for me the Touch gives me everything I need from an
audio quality standpoint.

Finally, just as a general observation from my other hobby of cooking,
it's fine to talk about squeezing the last drop out of something, but
sometimes when you squeeze too hard you start getting things in your
food that were better left behind. ;-)
