Not much difference in Rock tracks. If the 44/16 is made from the same
master as the 96/24, its almost impossible to tell the difference with
Rock.

Classical and Jazz one has a much better chance. And even a bigger
chance if the 44/16 and 96/24 are not of the same master and the 96/24
is really well engineered. IMO, that is where 96/24 shines. 96/24
really shows the guys that know their stuff. What I mean by that is
that a 96/24 of a bad recording really shows quickly its a bad
engineering job.

The less crowded stuff can get one used to listening to/for the
difference. Material like a solo or single instrument or a trio.

Try Reference Recordings for ideas. They have a killer library and
resolutions up to 176.4/24. Direct to Digital is another go area to
find high quality well engineered 96/24 recordings as they are direct
masters with no messing with the signals IE what one would call a DD CD
not DDD because there is no middle D for what state the mixing was as
there is no mixing.
