I have a Transporter which is linked to a Naim system on the output side, which works fine, and which I am now trying to connect on the input side to a Mac Mini, via an optical cable. The connection does not work. I have used the Optical In (under Extras) in the server software before, and it has worked successfully. I suspect the physical "optical in" socket is U/S (it feels loose, and there is definitely signal at the end of the cable) but before paying to have it investigated, I wondered if any forum reader had experience of this component failing and of having it repaired. Alternatively are there any hidden issues with "optical in" which people have been surprised by (assume I have done the obvious!).
