Well, you know what I'm going to say about the cables/connections - try it and see! As for the TACT PSU - yes your AC treatment will help a little but it won't address the basic problems which are after your regenerated AC. Replacing the PSU is a tricky proposition - my TACT has a 5-0-5 + 12V supply - the 12V being for the microphone phantom power... I left the original PSU in place but unplugged internally, and connected a high quality 5-0-5 linear via a wire that runs in through a hole in the chassis. It's not pretty!. If I ever need to remeasure, I have to reconnect the original supply. A better but more expensive route would be to get a proper replacement supply fitted internally, for which you'd need to go one of the "modders". -- Phil Leigh You want to see the signal path BEFORE it gets onto a CD/vinyl...it ain't what you'd call minimal...
