The device is still under warranty.  Not sure I really want to go down
the route of buying something that has problems and then trying to get
repairs done.  Then I have no comeback will the seller at all as the
device will have been altered.  I will have a look through the forum
and try and decipher what the options are on the Touch / DAC front or
look and see if I can find a new TP.
