OK, after I spent more time with PWD, and I can't say that it sounds soft on 24-96. Just listened to Brian Bromberg's "Jaco" album. Very dynamic, very vivid. Can't complain so far. >From my experience the Transporter may sound "edgy", overly analytical and sometimes sibilant (yes, tin can...). It sounds much better and smoother on hi-rez material. I think it's system dependent. Most likely you will get similar results in a "fast" and highly resolving system (e.g. with electrostats). -- alekz Equipment: Transporter/PS Audio PerfectWave DAC + Bridge - Pass Labs x1 - Pass Labs x250 - Martin Logan Summit (+ PS Audio PowerPlant Premier, MIT Oracle cables, Finite Elemente Master Reference rack, Finite Elemente Cerafeet, Acustica Aplicata DAAD traps). ------------------------------------------------------------------------ alekz's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=13574 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=82155 _______________________________________________ audiophiles mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/audiophiles
