depends what you mean... 5 drivers in a box? or something different?
personally, 3-way is at the limit of traditional crossover design for
me and I think passive crossovers sound universally dreadful, sucking
the life out of the music.

So, you could build a 5-way "traditional" design using active XO'S -
or, you could go for a 3-way design, augmented by supertweeters from
Tannoy, Townsend etc and sub-woofers.
