A really low freq XO is really bad done with passives components you get coils the size off footballs and it's still no good to much Z and nonlinearities in series with the speaker .
You can se very large studio main moniters being 4 way (maybe more) but they ar all active and acoustically you can not be to close to them as the sound has to "blend" from the different drivers. Multiway gets problematic at shorter distances. My next speakers are going to be active, but i have not really decided what can afford yet.
