As I understand it, Klaus' mods are about a)lowering the "load" on the
Touch - the idea that fewer  processes = better sound; b)the wifi is
turned off not because of jitter, but because it represents another
"load" and also b/c of noise/RF/vibrations - interference that might
result from it being on (especially if you are using ethernet anyway).

In this general approach Klaus' ideas aren't very different from lots
of other music server/streamer designs or mods - designed to produce
the best sound possible from a given server/pc/streamer.
