OK, this is really pi$$ing me off now . . . . I tried connecting wirelessly but the problem remains unchanged.
I've also tried another router - no change. The problem is actually worse than I stated previously - I'm lucky if I can play a single track without the connection dropping. Arrgghhhh! The only think I can guess at is a fault with the server. But my connection to this (as a remote volume) on my laptop is fine.
