ITrax ( aix records ) carry almost exclusively new digitally recorded stuff, and Linn also have many new recordings and there are probably others too, hopefully will see more as time goes by. HD tracks seems to have tapped the remaster niche. Just be suitable catius , you migth want that ancient recording and they migth ( at a exorbiant price) carry the best aviable master. So selling good remaster of old stuff is justifiable bussines in it's own rigths. i also wish more recent stuff could be given this treatment. But there is a bunch of recordings that probaly are good and in the need of remaster from the pre 24 bit digital age, but they cant be sold as " hirez" so this business model only works for the very recent stuff or old analog stuff so this leavas a hole in thier catalog ? I wonder if rereleasing old stuff is easier ? This is probaly mostly the record companies fault as usual. The new stuff is at iTunes or amazon and they wont let out any lossles material at all except for the CD. And certainly not in a good non loudness war hirez master quality. So this is not entirely HD tracks fault they are probably happy to sell anything well recorded, they can get Regarding the Stones my bs radar slammed against the 100% mark when reading about the cryogenically treated cables used in the mastering ? And how proud they where of the tubed renovated tape deck used in some cases ? They are seting up a trapp for a certian demographic.. It migth still be a good master and the cryocables just a marketting ploy ( and they wont hurt as they wont make any difference ). I've bougth some good stuff at Hd tracks too.
