I don´t understand that statement and don´t know what one has to do with the other. IMO, no cable that fulfills general requirements for its purpose, can be the weakest link. I did state, given that one has a transparent system (meaning having all the information there), a DSP (other than having a special acoustic-room built specifically for your needs) is the only logical thing to use for tweaking the sound for one´s preference/needs.
