Well if you're committed to the speakers without having heard them in your own home, at least wait till the room's furnished and play around with them before you commit to stands or even more wall mounts. Try the different listening positions you have speculated here about. Get some cheap height adjustable stands. Take care not to damage the speakers - they may sound dreadful and you may wish to sell them. You're running blind.
