I'm not saying it is not possible to do a direct connection, but it is definitely NOT designed to work this way. Designed to work as follows: internet connection (e.g., cable modem) > Router > WIFI or ethernet > Computer (running SqueezeboxServer) also, .... Router > WIFI or ethernet > TOUCH And although it will work with two WIFI hops (computer to router AND touch to router), it is much better to have at least one of these wired (typically the computer). Both wired is even better as you can avoid the various WIFI issues.
