I always remind folks the Transporter is also a nice DAC with several inputs. Even with no USB input, a USB to SPDIF converter makes the Transporter a versatile piece of equipment still. I think the DAC will do resolutions up to 24/96. Sean designed the Transporter with a fine analog output section. Most folks don't bother using a seperate DAC with the Tranporter. Many audiophiles use the Touch to feed an external DAC, many do not. Now that I usually use my phone to control my squeezeboxen, the differences in the interfaces on the players becomes essentially irrelevant. I think the Transporter is still a fine piece of audiophile gear, while the Touch probably plays in a league well above its price. -- desertrat58 Transporter -> Bryston BP25MC preamp -> M&K (R.I.P.)
