I don't run either of mine with an attached drive thus I don't have first hand experience. However, from past experience in designing CD players, separating supplies for motors, digital circuitry and ideally for analog circuitry was one of those basic fixes that always improved sound when the unit was played through a decent system.
I would though be curious if going to a linear supply to power the drive made any difference since you're listening to the output of the Touch's buffer and its clock not to the output of the drive itself. Still, I've seen digital garbage break through in surprising ways before. -- Harry G ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Harry G's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=1165 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=89583 _______________________________________________ audiophiles mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/audiophiles
