^ Unfortunately I can't at this time power the (physically) tiny USB drive separately from a half-decent linear supply because I don't have in stock a DC plug small enough...it is really tiny. I'd have to go through adapter crap and I don't like that either. Next digi-key order...
So...just one supply for Touch/USB for today, I can't even do separate feeds. Right now I'm putting my various PSs on the scope to see which looks better with the Touch...doesn't necessarily mean a lot, but it's something to work with. The other thing for me about separating Touch/USB supplies is I can use my decent LT108x-based supplies, but I don't like using them at more than 1A each. One of those for both Touch/USB is too close to my self-imposed limit. Do you really believe the stock adapter has 18ga conductors? Maybe if they're VERY tightly twisted or coaxial with trivial insulation. I have seen plenty of stuff from a certain country where the stated wire gauge is at least 1 gauge smaller than they state, sometimes 2... Anyway, the Touch + my drive seems to draw ~1A so no biggie, just an observation. -- cfraser ------------------------------------------------------------------------ cfraser's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=48869 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=89583 _______________________________________________ audiophiles mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/audiophiles
