Unfortunately many people out there think that raising the kHz from 44.1 also changes the info below 20kHz because they were fed with some misleading marketing graphs with more tiny steps in some funny waveform. And yes, the most improvement of raising bits and kHz is heard by people that seem to have no clue how digital audio works. I meant 88.2kHz because this already is more then overkill for all humans. With 44.1kHz you can at least argue about some bad filtering that may create side-effects. With todays software and knowledge about handling these difficulties even this should be a non-issue. -- Wombat Transporter (modded) -> RG142 -> Avantgarde Acoustic based 500VA monoblocks -> Sommer SPK240 -> self-made speakers ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Wombat's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=4113 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=89733 _______________________________________________ audiophiles mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/audiophiles
