Is there any DSD or DSDIFF files available for download, otherwise it's
going to be a novelty plugin used by the 3 people who happens to both
own squeezeboxes and works in the pro-audio business and have access to
such files.
Nothing wrong with that at all but of limited use.

24/88.2 will do fine.

SACD is roughly 20bits except in the highest treble where it is less
than 16bits as DSD ultrasonic noise is creeping in.

at very high frequencies it's all DSD noise no need for more than 88.2
fs ,
we can safely assume that anything over 44.1kHz is not music in an DSD
signal.
It migth even be for the best, some Auduphile amps are designed with
very wide bandwith probably to wide, I can't imaging DSD noise is a
wanted signal to amplify and load the amps speakers and xovers with.

technically DSD seems a bit cultist, 24/192 linear PCM seems to do the
trick just fine for recording, especially as all the post processing is
Done with linear samples?
The main factor behind DSD from Sony seems to have been copy protection
by obscurity, to make a format almost no consumer computing can handle
and spreading FUD about how much better it sounds.

No doubt that the DSD process can be used for sound technically better
than CD in some aspects, but it's seems a very long detour ?

Off Topic:

I know very little off the pro side of DSD .

Are you using the same 1bit 2.82MHz as the consumer variant SACD .

It seems very strange that recording and processing equipment does not
work in resolutions above the delivery format ?

Even more off topic:

Download sellers like HD tracks seems to operate be ripping disc, this
does not seems very pro to me ? rather the opposite, it reeks garage
operation to me.

A professional approach after legal rights for the material has been
obtained would be to schedule meetings with the audio professionals
involved on both sides and try to find the best possible master files
and evaluate them if they fit the "HD" moniker ? There must be backups
of the projects somewhere.

>From the other side a professional record companies wanting to have
their content available online, would have pre prepared files for all
kinds of resolutions to sell to retailers with a documented pedigree.
Does not matter if it's 128 mp3 or 24/192 HD a record company would
want some control and QC over the content they sell ?

otherwise all attempts to sell HD material will end on some kind of
archeological expeditions in dusty archives.
