Thanks for your thoughtful response. With respect to HDMI & USB cables versus coax cables perhaps I should have phrased the question something like: Are there any differences with respect to the ability to correctly transmit the digital data stream between any two properly designed cables? And is there any difference in sound quality when the cables are used to carry a digital audio signal?
