OK, so the connectors join the BJ3 to the speakers. I am still a little skeptical of the cable itself.
I work in the networking industry where RJ-45 means cat5 cable. These are designed for milliamps, not amps. 20W at 8 ohms is about 1.6 amps. The latest Power Over Ethernet spec for cat5 allows for up to 34W, but specifically limits the current to 600mA. I would hope that the BJ3 speaker cable is not cat5 inside, but something beefier. Still, the RJ-45 connector itself worries me. The contacts are tiny. -- Henry66 ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Henry66's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=38863 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=90803 _______________________________________________ audiophiles mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/audiophiles
