However, your comments about the album prompted me to give it a fresh listen on my main system. OK, it *does* sound a bit bright, and some might say "metallic", but it's by no means objectionably so to my ears. (And there are some places where reasonably deep bass is present - eg. the intro of "Acropolis Now"). Can we agree that even though it's a bit bright, it is very clean? I've attached a frequency analysis screen shot of Blaze of Glory (bog.wav), plus Body & Soul (b&s.wav) for comparison purposes. There doesn't seem to be any significant difference as far as I can see, apart from perhaps a slightly faster fall away of high frequencies above about 6kHz on Body & Soul, which might give the latter a slightly warmer overall sound. +-------------------------------------------------------------------+ |Filename: blazeofglory.jpg | |Download: http://forums.slimdevices.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=12780| +-------------------------------------------------------------------+ -- cliveb Transporter -> ATC SCM100A ------------------------------------------------------------------------ cliveb's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=348 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=85882 _______________________________________________ audiophiles mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/audiophiles
