if you look at the alternatives ie usb/spdif convertors, their users
remark that they cannot get software updates and people go to
extrordinary lengths to get sound improvements. Here  we have a £200
box that with Soundchecks mods is capable of beating sources costing
many thousands.

If you have a high quality system then the priority mods do make a big
difference and these are free (well you should donate to Soundcheck). 

It is just a game for me to see how far it can be taken and so far it
has rewarded me with performance beyond my expectations.
