Yes, the other night with the fuzziness coming and going for extended periods, it was almost as though something was getting out of synch, and when it got really out/bad, something would "reset" it and it would be good for another while...repeat. I wasn't casting aspersions about your or anybody's (incl. my) system with my "low-buck" comment. If that's how it seemed? I just meant it sounded like a CD played on a cheap DVDP via the analog outputs: listenable but not worthy of mention really. :) BTW, again listened for ~3 hours yesterday and never did get the fuzziness. So except for the TT3.0 buffer setting (my 4000 vs his 3200), I get similarly fine performance as SBGK does using the exact settings he posted. So there's something important to it. Wish I knew what it was. It boggles my mind that the SQ can vary so hugely with a few priority changes. I truly wish it didn't, last thing I need is *more* system variables. -- cfraser ------------------------------------------------------------------------ cfraser's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=48869 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=91322 _______________________________________________ audiophiles mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/audiophiles
