Played with buffersize with SBT default prio on my favorite Four Season's recording and there are my conclusions: 1) buffersize 20000: Over-accentutated and fatiguing highs, with very precise but quite unnatural soundstage. Lack of bass and warmth in the mids. Note that I have no subwoofer to compensate weak basses. 2) buffersize 3200: Soundstage a bit less focused in the placement but more natural and deeper. Bass are well present and are clean, even without subwoofer. Warmer mids. Actually, it is like there are more layers in the sound: depth from the bass, full rounded warmth from the mids and sharp scenic imaging from the trebles. Globally much closer to live music. 3) Buffersize 4000: similar to 3200 but with some loss of precision. I will definitely stick to 3200 that better fits to my system and ears.
